Course lecturer was Dr. Gertrude Cotter.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/2021businesshumanrights.praxisucc.ie\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-115\" width=\"224\" height=\"220\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-huge-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-navy-blue-color\"><\/span><span class=\"has-inline-color has-navy-blue-color\">What business is this of yours?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-light-blue-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>A glimpse into the Human Rights impacts of big business in Ireland and Mexico.<\/em><\/strong>  <strong><em>A student project for UCC&#8217;s UW0012 Development and Global Citizenship Education Course<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this project students from the Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico and University College Cork, Ireland partnered with Tr\u00f3caire, the Irish overseas development agency, on their Business and Human Rights Campaign. Tr\u00f3caire\u2019s campaign highlights important policy changes they wish to make in relation to business and the issue of &nbsp;human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On this website students from Cork and Veracruz share findings on big business impacts on human rights in both Ireland and Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This website documents a student project which was carried out as part of our course work for a University Wide Module UW0012 Global Citizenship and Development Education, run by the Praxis Project and the School of Education, UCC.
